Rolex Datejust 16013 Cummings

Spotted: Rolex Datejust 16013 with Cummings logo dial.

In years long past, Rolex used to make quite a few company dials.. Commemorative pieces, often printed in the US. In fact, I have a folder of this practice around here somewhere – will look it up.

The above Datejust was awarded for a 25-year anniversary to one of Cummings (engine builders) employees and comes with provenance. Cool piece.

Rolex Datejust 1600, 16014, 1603

Must see: the different faces of the Rolex Datejust. First up a 1600 with smooth bezel, Buckley dial and Oyster-bracelet.. Next is a 16014 with Jubilee and fluted bezel and last, but not least, a great 1603 with engine turned bezel. So similar yet so different!

Rolex Date 1530. Yes, by name a Date but so similar to the 1630 and later OysterQuartz Datejust that I have to include it! Not too sure about this dial – if the discoloring would’ve been even, it would make for a great look.
